Why only 15 states at launch?

The launch set favors large formation markets and states readers often compare. A smaller checked set is better than a long list copied from another website. More states belong in the dataset only after the filing fee, recurring charge, due rule, and official source can be checked as one record.

For a state outside the launch set, start with that state's Secretary of State or corporations division. Then use the calculator method on the methodology page: initial fee plus recurring payments over the period, with optional services kept separate.
